Windy Season
In Mayapo, the prime kitesurfing season kicks off in late November, although some October days may have inconsistent winds. During peak season, steady winds range from 18 to 29 knots, offering optimal conditions for kitesurfers of all levels—from beginners to advanced freestyle riders. Early in the season, the winds are at their strongest, providing a robust environment for skill progression before gradually softening as October approaches.
During the light wind season, we typically experience an average of 2 to 3 windy days per week. This period offers optimal conditions for safe learning and water activities in a quieter and more relaxed environment.
